Dubai’s Italian dining scene has a new name to know.
Rocambolesco is opening its doors at Uptown Tower, introducing a two-storey dining concept built around La Convivialità — the Italian philosophy of gathering, sharing and connecting around the table.
Created by Eclectic Hospitality in collaboration with DMCC, the restaurant takes a more expressive approach to Italian dining. Think bold flavours, warm hospitality and an atmosphere designed to evolve throughout the day, moving from relaxed daytime lunches into livelier evenings.
Italian Cooking, With Room to Play
At the heart of Rocambolesco is Executive Chef Luigi Stinga, recipient of the MICHELIN Guide Abu Dhabi Young Chef Award.
Stinga previously spent five years at Talea by Antonio Guida, which held One MICHELIN Star from the MICHELIN Guide Abu Dhabi between 2022 and 2025.
At Rocambolesco, his approach centres on familiar Italian flavours interpreted with a more contemporary and unexpected edge. Rather than moving too far from the dishes people already love, the menu plays with them — balancing comfort with creativity and encouraging guests to order for the table, share and discover.
It is an approach that fits naturally with the restaurant’s wider philosophy: food is only part of the experience; who you share it with matters just as much.
Designed for Long Lunches and Late Evenings
That sense of personality continues into the interiors.
Warm layered tones, artistic patterns and expressive details give Rocambolesco a distinctive identity without losing the intimacy expected from an Italian restaurant.
Guests can choose between indoor dining, bar seating and an outdoor terrace, allowing the restaurant to shift between different occasions throughout the day.
There is more still to come upstairs.
Rocambolesco’s first-floor dining space is planned as a more elevated, dinner-only experience, offering a setting geared towards intimate evenings and a different energy from the all-day restaurant below.
A New Addition to Uptown Dubai
Rocambolesco joins a growing collection of hospitality concepts transforming Uptown Dubai into more than a business and residential district.
The development has steadily expanded its lifestyle offering around Uptown Tower and The Plaza, combining restaurants, cafés, hotels, residences, retail and cultural spaces within the neighbourhood.
For Eclectic Hospitality, the location also offered an opportunity to introduce a concept that feels particularly personal.
