Australian-based company Euclideon has created the first hologram table for multiple users. The futuristic table allows up to four people to partake at a time. With crazy-realistic images projected onto the table, this is like nothing we’ve seen before. Used to project these images are modern designed motion-tracking glasses, a big difference from the bulky headsets we’ve seen in hologram efforts in the past(or in movies).
Creating the incredibly realistic experience of the table, microchips located within the glasses are able to communicate with a computer system inside the table. The table itself comes measures in at about 5 x 5 ft. While only one model has been created thus far, Euclidean believes that sufficient funding could lead to the potential of a public release as early as February 2018. Company CEO, Bruce Dell, estimates the cost to be around $47,000. Start saving, people.
