If anyone has killer style and knows how to make denim look faboosh it’s Miranda Kerr.
Miranda has teamed up with US label Mother Denim to launch 12-piece collection of jeans, T-shirts and other denim essentials. With proceeds going to The Royal Hospital for Women Foundation in Sydney (a non-profit Miranda has lent her face to), it’s a cause the Aussie model and entrepreneur feels is close to her heart.
“Being involved in this creative process is something that I enjoy and the fact that it’s for a great cause was the icing on the cake,” Miranda told Vogue.com in an exclusive interview. “The hospital provides so much support for women and assistance for mothers and their babies.” Relishing her role as designer, the KORA Organics founder had a crystal clear view of what she wanted to achieve. “You’ll see within the 12 pieces that I quite like a little bit of the washed out, worn in look,” she explains.
The collection is comprised of slogan T-shirts with feelgood messages, cropped and flared jeans, a denim jumpsuit, shorts, jumpers and shirts. According to Mother co-founder and creative director Tim Kaeding, “Miranda was a dream to work with. She came with moodboards and colour palettes. She had proportions and fits in mind as well.”
