Ruya, which translates to ‘dream’, is headed by executive chef Colin Clague. Colin is mostly known for his past endeavours working for Jason Atherton’s Pollen in Singapore, Qbara, Jean Georges and Zuma London & Dubai.

The interior is nothing short of stunning with its dark wood floors, romantic dim lighting, traditional rugs, an outdoor terrace looking over the Marina, dotted with Olive Trees and a sleek open plan bar. The vibe is sophisticated and the waiters are incredibly attentive and enthusiastic in creating the perfect dining experience.

We suggest going in a big group and ordering several small dishes, as sharing is caring and that way you get to try and indulge in all they have to offer. Our highlights were without doubt the Turkish Spoon Salad which is finely chopped vegetables with pomegranate dressing , Succulent Beef Rib Eye and traditional Cheese Pide, which we have been thinking about ever since. If you like the sound of delectably crusty, salted, cheesy bread topped with a gooey delicious egg, that last one is definitely for you.
