Philipp Plein looked to his favorite comic books for inspiration when it came to dreaming up a concept for his new Fall 2016 campaign. The designer put together a mood board featuring old school Marvel comic strip clippings, images from the most recent Dark Knight trilogy and the Avengers movies before he enlisted photographer Steven Klein to help bring his vision to life.
“In a neon-lit futureworld, filled with turmoil and danger, the battle between good and evil rages on,” explains the designer. “Under attack from invisible forces, everyone must choose a side in this epic fight to the end. The struggle is real but there is hope. We need to search deep inside ourselves to find the belief, strength and determination to become superhuman. We can harness hidden powers within us all. Regardless of gender, nationality or age, we can be heroes.”
Shot against a neon-lit background with pops of smoke and plastic toy guns, the 49-second clip stars Chris Brown, Carmen Dell’Orefice, Soo Joo Park, and Crystal Renn in an epic battle of good versus evil.
