Louis Vuitton has announced that Nicolas Ghesquière has elected to show his latest Cruise 2018 collection designs at an undisclosed location in Japan on May 14th.

In a report by WWD, Louis Vuitton said that Japan was a natural fit for a destination show given its strong links with the house, which date back to the 19th century. Louis Vuitton, as a brand, has a long history with the country, having opened its first store in Tokyo in 1978 and collaborating with Japanese artists and designers including Takashi Murakami, Yayoi Kusama, and Rei Kawakubo.
