You can now match your slippers and bag to your wallpaper, brilliant!
Starting out small, the Gucci Décor collection encompasses a tightly edited range of homewares – think crockery featuring now familiar Gucci motifs such as tigers and magic eyes, and plates emblazoned with 3D porcelain bees, butterflies and cockerel heads.
Alessandro Michele has also branched out into home fragrances, with four distinct scents developed for candles and incense. Utilising heady, old-world notes like damask rose, birch, lemongrass and bitter Seville oranges – we can safely assume these won’t be your average vanilla scented candles.
Of course, there’s furniture too – in the shape of metal side tables and upholstered chairs and folding screens. Everything is as sumptuous and slightly kitsch as you’d expect, but we’re predicting the throw pillows and Gucci Flora wallpaper (available in silk, vinyl or paper) to be the items that sell out first. Of course, many might just be happy with a scented candle, too.
