So if you struggle to find the right shade concealer to match your foundation then look no further. Fenty Beauty have it covered! I want to go into a bit more detail about the way the Fenty foundations and concealers work together.
When Fenty sent me the concealer I thought I wouldn’t be able to review it as they sent the same shade as my foundation and I usually have to go one shade lighter than my foundation. Thankfully it paired up perfectly with the foundation – my shade is 300. The foundation has had mixed reviews with some people saying it oxidizes and some saying it’s the best one they’ve tried. I personally like the foundation but it wasn’t ever my first ‘go to’ foundation. However, when you pair it up with the new concealer…well that’s another story. It’s like this concealer is what makes it whole….if that makes sense! When you use the foundation with the concealer it gives you what was missing before. Now it stays looking flawless for longer, stays matte, has way more coverage and needs only a little powder to set. I’ve swatched some shades of the Foundation and Concealer below for you so you can see how the same shade number concealer is actually a little brighter than the same shade foundation.
The Pro Filt’r Instant Retouch Setting Powders have also taken the #FentyFace up a notch. It comes in 8 shades (all below) and is very finely milled. The mattifying finish is amazing and it also helps to brighten the areas where you apply it….oh yes, and no flashback!
I have nearly every foundation, you name it…you”ll find it in my makeup room. But out of all the foundations I have around 8 brands that sit in my perspex tray out on display and these are the ones that I alternate between on a daily basis. These are the holy grail foundations. My ‘go to’ foundations…and it’s hard to make the cut. These foundations are my all rounders – great coverage, stay on all day, don’t oxidize, keep me looking flawless after several hours and perfect color match. The Fenty Pro Filt’r never quite made its way to this collection. BUT now that I’ve seen the results of using the foundation and concealer together…it’s made it’s way right in the centre of my beloved foundation shrine.
