Holy Mountain, a ’70s surrealist fantasy in which most of the cast wonders around in bizarre states of undress was Kym Ellery’s main source of inspiration. That said, you’d know that for Resort, Ellery is still going strong especially with fashion editors and influencers. This collection is the natural evolution to the strong Australian brand. We’re still seeing the elements that made Ellery thrive, flare pants and clean cuts, minimalist silhouettes with a strong dose of modern romance. We love the etherealness of the white silk shirtdress, and peak-a-boo cutouts on a very sleek black dress. As always statement sleeves—ruffled, ruched, leg-of-mutton—are big. Having successfully launched denim a couple of seasons ago, the brand is expanding into accessories, with a full shoe collection launching for Resort. Take a look at our exclusive edit of the collection, as its clear we are fans!
