Phoebe Philo presented the lookbook of her Pre-Fall 2016 Celine collection, and the odds are forever in her favor. An avid Philo fan, I found her collection mature and edgy in an understated yet refined way. Devoted to layering this time the designer introduces the art of layering. we find fitted jackets, masculine strong shouldered coats. We see long tunics that can be worn as dresses the gorgeous suede ones in mauve or loden green are already wardrobe investments. My personal favorite are the crushed velvet pants in yellow, I think they will be big next season. The styling as always was on point, I loved the silver 70s pendants, the “croissant” pouch bags attached to delicate chain handles; I adored the baggy, round-toed stack-heeled knee boots; and the whole color palette of creamy-beige, burgundy, cinnamon, absinthe, and loden green was flawless. My verdict: Celine is the modern woman’s wardrobe, every piece is an instant classic!
