The luxury Brit fashion house, Burberry has announced they’re hosting a major photography exhibition bringing together images from 30 top 20th century social and documentary photographers capturing the best images of the quirky, cool, distinctly Brit way of life.
The exhibition, titled Here We Are, will run from September 18 until October 1 this year at Burberry’s new show venue Old Sessions House in Clerkenwell, London and will be the first time the striking landmark will be open to the public since its restoration.
The 200 strong-exhibition curated by Burberry’s President and Chief Creative Officer, Christopher Bailey and writer Lucy Kumara Moore includes images from Dafydd Jones, Shirley Baker, Ken Russell, Karen Knorr, Charlie Phillips, Jo Spence and Brian Griffin documenting everything from unconventional portraits of British businessmen to day-to-day life in bohemian Notting Hill.
Here We Are will also feature shots by celebrated fashion photographer Alasdair McLellan, who co-curated the exhibition with Bailey and Kumara Moore and was recently announced as Burberry’s Burberry latest creative collaborator.
Here We Are will be on at Old Sessions House, 22 Clerkenwell Green, London EC1 from September 18 until October 1. +
